Ann Voskamp (whose blog makes my heart spin in all sorts of happy ways) linked this story today and I believe it will become a Christmas classic in our home. It puts money and giving and Christmas in exactly the right perspective.
Enjoy real Christmas,
Bo
I love her. She has been such an inspiration to me after reading her book. Her words have been truely blessing and her keen insight encourages me to dig deep!

Thanks for sharing that story. Perspective makes all the difference.
Makes me think of the passage in Revelation 3:17,18-” For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.” This family was truly rich. Hmmm…something I will be thinking about. It’s interesting how giving does make us feel so much more content and thankful..
