On this, the 22nd day before Thanksgiving, I do solemnly swear to be extravagantly, exceptionally thankful for these five things:

5.  Red cups at Starbucks.

4.  This new Christmas music.

3.  The color orange.

2.  The words, “Thy will be done.”

And the thing I’m most especially thankful for on the first day of my pre-Thanksgiving countdown is:

1. Today is not yesterday.  I’d like to put a positive spin on it, but it was truly a stinker in every way.  Today is new.  The month is new.  My hope is new.  So thankful.

What’s on your list today?

  1. LOVE Lady Antebellum. Great choice!

  2. What is on my list is to try to organize and set a routine. Starting work at 7:00 am with a 30 minute drive is not fairing well on me. I’m starting to get burned out. I’m hoping too that this month will bring some good change. 🙂

  3. “stinker”: I had one too.

My list: great medical team, (lots of ) people who love me and are showing it in tangible ways, the maple out side my window with yellow, like sunshine leaves, my kids carving pumpkins and laughing hysterically, a husband who does a pretty good job of serving and loving like Jesus.
