A few things I’ve found to love recently:

  • Kendi Everyday.  Often I find that fashion blogs are weak in the writing department – this one is strong, so I often laugh out loud while reading her thoughts on life and clothes.
  • Psalm 20.  I know it’s not new, but it’s newly discovered for me.
  • Brooklyn Limestone – so many fun things to see on this site.  I could easily kill a morning looking at all the project ideas, even though I will never attempt any of them this side of eternity (in heaven, I expect to be a world-class crafter.)
  • The King’s Speech.  I was going to do a whole post on this, but it never makes it to the top of the list, so I’m just going to say:  loved it.  While I don’t typically see or recommend R rated movies, this one is unique.  The rating comes from the language but  the profanity issues are predominantly confined to one scene and represent about 60 seconds worth of movie.  I know the rating will keep some people away, but I think it’s a movie that deserves to be seen.  If you’ve ever felt held back by a weakness, this movie will challenge you to step up and move on.   Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter are brilliant and the movie fully deserves the 12 Academy Award nominations it has received.
  • Bath & Body Mentha lip gloss. Seriously, I love this stuff.
  • Dayquil.  Because both my kids have been sick this week.  Boo, flu!   Speaking of Dayquil, does anyone else find this ironic?

Happy Friday, friends!

  1. Uh-oh with Kendi Everyday. I know what I *might* be doing, instead of working, for the next two hours.

    • Oh Jen – definitely check out her 30 for 30 projects. I love it but am too afraid to commit to it for a month…I’m trying to get my daughter to do it instead so I can wear what I want and still live vicariously through her creative genius.

  2. Mentha Lip gloss is currently applied so many times a day i can’t even count! LOVE IT!

  3. Just saw the movie and LOVED it! We laughed and identified with so many things. Great one liners! I would like to see it again just to write some down. BTY it is a guy/gal movie!
